Allure Décor Custom Designed Signature Adornments Celebrates Two Years of Whirlwind Success

Necessity is the mother of invention. That’s why when faced with attending a black tie fundraising gala for the Two River Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey without a befitting necklace to wear, Adrienne Hoban created one. Adrienne, who was acting as vice chair at the event that evening, simply didn’t see fit to leave her neckline bare at such a wonderful event.

Adrienne ended up attending that gala in 2007 wearing a Nicole Miller strapless dress, Jimmy Choos, and what was to become the very first piece from a thriving jewelry design business, Allure Décor Custom Designed Signature Adornments. The necklace was created from a vintage brooch she happened to find that incorporated all of the very colors of her dress that evening as well as the décor of the event (which she also designed).

Designer Adrienne Hoban admits to having an affinity for all things vintage and notes that she had the distinct vision to create her current “Be a Star!” collection using authentic vintage jewels.  This collection continues to be very sought after. Officially launched in 2009, "Be a Star!" was created “to celebrate and put women in the spotlight they deserve,” Hoban explains. Each piece is handmade using a delicate finger starfish encrusted with authentic vintage jewels and dusted with shimmering sparkle. The collection, which is produced only in limited editions and sells out very quickly, does its part to support numerous charities in a variety of arenas – Adrienne wouldn’t have it any other way.

The Allure Décor “Be a Star!” collection has caught the eye of several luxury publications including Hamptons Magazine, 944dotcom, and Slice of Style just to name a few. In 2010, Adrienne earned a spot as a Featured Accessories Designer at New Jersey Fashion Week and is currently a sponsor of the 2011 Mrs. New Jersey USA Pageant where the newly crowned winner will be adorned with one of her custom "Be A Star!" Couture neckpieces. The "Be A Star!" collection is expanding to include a Bridal collection specifically created for brides having a coastal or destination wedding and will be launched later this summer.
