Elizabeth Taylor Dies at 79. A Final Farewell to a Screen and Jewelry Queen
Today, the world said goodbye to one of the greatest film legends of the 20th century. Elizabeth Taylor has passed away at the age of 79. According to reports, Ms. Taylor died peacefully today in Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Lose Angeles after being hospitalized for six weeks with congestive heart failure.
The two time Oscar winner is famous for several movies including “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf,” “Cleopatra,” and “Butterfield 8.” Jewelry Dose Daily paid homage to Elizabeth Taylor in an article about ways that Hollywood has influenced the jewelry industry. Ms. Taylor was known for her love of jewelry, and sported amazing jewelry ensembles in Cleopatra, that coincidentally, are widely relevant today.
Aside from her movies, Elizabeth Taylor was well known for other unofficial titles she held such as “the world’s most beautiful woman” of the times as well as the face of some of the world’s most desirable fragrances.
Some also, as we mentioned, called her a jewelry queen. USA Today recently called Ms. Elizabeth Taylor’s style “as sexy and smoldering as her love life and mentioned that she loved “freely accessorizing with heaps of jewelry." Her son has stated that she “lived life to the fullest, with great passion, humor and love.” These are all things we can appreciate!
