Jewelry Trends Definitive at Chanel Fall/Winter 2011 Show

Chokers, Ornate Collars, and Statement Bangles
A-Plenty at Chanel Fall/Winter 2011 Runway Show

Chanel's Fall/Winter looks for 2011 were revealed last month in an intimate setting far different than last year's large scale Shanghai extravaganza.  For the Fall/Winter 2011 show Karl Lagerfiled had a relatively small second floor couture salon at Chanel's iconic Rue Cambon transformed into what reminded some of their favorite little known Turkish restaraunt.

What proved to be not-so-low key were the jewelry themes throughout the show.  Whereas other designers simply accessorize each runway look, Lagerfield used December's show as a very deliberate showcase for upcoming jewelry trends.  A few very definitive looks acted as one of the themes that tied the whole show together.

Among the trends were Chanel statement bangles in gold tones and dark colored stones, unapologetically long draping beaded necklaces, chokers, and antiquity inspired bib/collar necklaces.  Chanel's Fall/Winter 2011 Men's looks were no exception as men cloaked in ottoman empire inspired attire showed off long beaded Chanel necklaces and even ornate neck collars.
