Designer Showcase: Jeanine Payer

It's not everyday you see a jewelry collection that is, well, a little different. Just when you think poem engraved silver jewelry is common, check out Jeanine Payer whose different take on this technique becomes evident as soon as you see her whole collection together. We think it flirts with the line between the romantic and the macabre - so very Edgar Allen Poe without the hipster - a bit of a stuffy workplace friendly version of Pamela Love.  What do you think?

Jeanine Payer was THE FIRST designer to engrave poetry on jewelry ...all the others we may be tired of are knockoffs of her work... I remember watching her work in the back of a retail store in San Francisco - she was making buttons out of silver for costumes for I think the opera, and little sterling frames with odd flowers coming off of them ,engraved with a quote or line,,,still have one .... she began this trend ....

I love it! Especially this piece.

It's hard to find charms with poems on them I actually like. These poems have depth and originality. I admire that a lot in them!
