Jewelry Dose Daily's New Jersey Fashion Week Review

New Jersey Fashion Week (NJFW) 2011 can't come soon enough.  I tell you, my craving for those Pleasantdale Chateau hors d'oeuvres has qualified as nothing less than clinical obsession ever since.

Speaking of qualified, the word would certainly be an understatement for NJFW founders Donnella Tilery and Jack Panico.  Although favorites runway looks varied among individuals at this year's premier, no one could deny what an exciting event these two gracious founders put together (now I'm not just sucking up for the food I swear).  Pretty much fashion week perfection.

The New Jersey Fashion week events kicked off on October 9, 2010 and concluded with after parties on October 13, 2010.  Kaity and I were happy to make it out for Tuesday night's designer runway shows which were held at (as I already so longingly mentioned) the Pleasantdale Chateau, accompanied by to die for events in the accessories, press, and beauty lounges.

When it came to the trends - florals, metalics, millitary, yellow, geometics, and lace help to sum it up!

The talented Kaity Stardust, who doubles as the crucial part of our in house media crew (I just hold the bags), snapped some great impromptu shots of some of the designs and vendor booths.  Check out the results in our slideshow of select NJFW 2010 looks.  Some of our favorites included those of designer Elaine Cassis and Veronica Spadaro!  View select looks in higher resolution here.

...and let's not forget!

In true Jewelry Dose Daily style, we got to chat it up with some of the fabulous accessories designers who showcased their collections at the event.  A big "BRAVO" to the idea of featuring the accessories lounge aside the runway shows.

New Jersey Fashion Week was proceded by a surprise award ceremony for those who participated, which was made possible by some of NJFW's several amazing sponsors

So what award did Kaity and I Win?  Well, for one, "hardest to see tan" at NEW JERSEY fashion week (I took first place!), and (nothing wrong with self appointment) the Platinum-Sea-Star award for "favorite jewelry darlings in the house." (but of course, we jest).

Thanks to Donna Tillery, Jack Panico, all the talented NJFW designers, and the Pleasantdale Chateau for a night we won't soon forget.  Luckily NJFW 2011 is already in the works.  We know this phenomenal event will continue to grow and make a lot of dreams come true - and isn't that what it's really all about?  We think so!
