It's Only Natural - Style Icon Iris Apfel to Launch Jewelry Line

Fashion icon Iris Apfel, who despite her very successful NYC based textile business, has been primarily known for her unique sense of style and taste in accessories over the last few years.  The Metropolitain Museum of Art showcased Apfel's unique styling by designing an entire exibit around her in 2005, hoisting her image even farther into the mainsteam.  The exibition consisted of several mannaquins that were styled by Iris herself featuring her own personal wardrobe and accessories (my personal favorite being the "fish outfit").

Now 88 years young, what differentiates Iris from your average flea market going hoarder is her perfectly formulated sense of humor, keen wit, and effortless sophistication.  These are the same reasons we'll be looking forward to seeing her jewelry designs - which will made possible through a collaboration with the producer responsible for the Monies, Narducci and Ferrara collections.

Accessories Magazine reports that her collection will be "natural, eclectic, and fun with a focus on statement pieces."  The pieces will range from $125-$1000 and will be sold through museum stores, galleries, and high end boutiques.
