HSN Debuts Purple African Flourite

HSN's popular show "Gem Jubilee" has been creating hype surounding the network debut of the little known "Purple African Flourite."  HSN is often, in part, responsible for what becomes trend among the general public in the way of gemstone color and type. 

Gem Jubilee will debut the stone tomorrow (Friday) night at midnight.  The stone will be set in a variety of sterling silver settings available for purchase.  The show will also feature an Emerald and Pearl necklace as well as a 819ct Purple Quartz and Rose Quartz Sterling Silver 18" Necklace (see below).

Having been in the jewelry industry, I can tell you that it is pretty rare to find large raw emerald necklaces like the one that will be included on tomorrow night's show, but I'd be tempted to restring in without the pearls and let it stand alone (just my opinion). What do you think?
