Charles & Colvard Enthusiastic about Moissanite Marketing Boost

After reporting a decline in sales and profit during the second quarter, Charles & Colvard, the makers of the popular Moissanite jewels are enthusiastic about new efforts to boost sales.
In an effort to give the brand some extra shine during a time of rough consumer confidence, Charles & Colvard plan to get geared up for more air time on home-shopping TV networks and to focus more effort into the company's direct to consumer website, http://www.moissanite.com/.
That's not the only way the Morrisville, North Carolina based company plans to gain sales and market share. Charles & Colvard plans to begin testing a direct sales model later this year which will market it's Moissanite jewelry through home parties.
Moissanite, which is known for its exceptional brilliance and disperson and rivaling popular gemstones like ruby, sapphire, and even diamond is created from silicon carbide. Silicon carbide was discovered more than 100 years ago in particles taken from an Arizona crater, and now, through a proprietary high tech process is transformed by Charles & Colvard into a material that is enjoyed worldwide. Many have been introduced through Moissanite for the first time through popular shopping network, HSN. Designers like Diane Von Furstenberg have even used Moissanite as part of their recent jewelry collections.
